With approximately 2000 fruit trees in total, our orchard offers many unique varieties.  A fruit orchard for over 150 years, this orchard is a landmark in the Sherwood area under its former name Oliphant Orchards, and current name (as of 2005).

The season typically begins in early July with Sweet Cherries and continues with Pie Cherries, Plums, Prunes, Apples, Pears, Quince, and Persimmons through October or as long as we have fruit.  We have no picked fruit available. We do not ship any fruit.

Directions:

From Portland: Take 99W south towards Newberg through Sherwood. We are 1/2 mile past the intersection with 99W and Sunset Blvd/Elwert Rd. on the right-hand side. You will see our sign "Sherwood Orchards" and we are the driveway just before the sign.


From Newberg: Take 99W north towards Sherwood. At the intersection with 99W and Sunset Blvd/Elwert Rd., make a u-turn onto 99W south. We are 1/2 mile past the intersection with 99W

and Sunset Blvd/Elwert Rd. on the right-hand side. You will see our sign "SHERWOOD ORCHARDS" and we are the driveway just before the sign.

WHAT IS READY FOR PICKING...

We are sold out for our season.  All fruit, including our persimmons, are sold out.

 

Thank you for your patronage this year.  We hope to see you next year when have cherries, summer fruits, apples, pears, plums, prunes and quince.  We are grateful to have had you enjoy our fruit, and look forward to seeing you next season!  

 

  

Here are some things to keep in mind during our season:

***Bring your own containers to take your fruit home in.

*** WE WILL CLOSE OUR GATE IF WE SELL OUT OF FRUIT!!!

**BRING CASH AS WE ARE A CASH ONLY OPERATION!  No checks, debit, or credit cards please.  We do accept WIC checks.

**PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS BEHIND- we are a pet free farm due to food safety codes.  Thank you!

Our Weekly Updates

 

During our season, we update at least weekly, what we have available for picking, pricing, and hours for the week. Our hours are posted at the bottom of this website.

What forms of payment do you accept?

***We only accept CASH***  

We also accept WIC.  

We do NOT accept CREDIT or DEBIT CARDS.

Are pets allowed?

NO, we do NOT allow pets in our orchard, due to Food Safety Regulations.  We thank you for leaving your furry family member at home.

Is there anything I need to bring with me for picking?

We have some buckets for you to pick into, but there are a limited supply so please bring buckets or containers if you have some.  Please bring your own boxes and bags to bring your fruit home in.  We recommend you wear sturdy shoes, and not sandals or flip flops as our ground is very uneven.   

Do you allow ladders?

No, we do NOT allow any ladders on our orchard.  We do have picking tools for you to use.  We DO NOT allow anyone to climb our trees in order to pick the fruit.  We appreciate your respect for these important safety rules.

Do you do field trips, groups, or events?

NO , we do NOT accommodate groups or events here at Sherwood Orchards.

Are you an organic or a no spray orchard?

No, we are a conventional orchard, but also use Integrated Pest Management.  We apply crop protectants to provide for the best quality fruit for you and your family.
